Our business clients subscribe to proprietary software for their business operations and have found that they still need someone local to interface with their system provider - to install updates, troubleshoot local server/workstation problems, and most importantly, to represent their interest, someone who knows how to talk to the system provider. More and more, our clients depend on their network and internet applications, so we set up, configure and maintain our customers' home or office networks, working with Windows Server networks and various Internet Service Providers (ISP's) to find the best ISP, resolve problems, set up secure connections, and optimize performance. Our customers have employees who need help operating their computers, so we provide user training for MS Office applications, web applications, and accounting software such as QuickBooksTM.
We provide all these services at the lowest possible cost. As an independent, solely owned company we simply do not have the overhead that our competitors do, and we pass this savings along to our customers. AntiVirus and Security problems get all the publicity BUT:
Here are the "Top 5" computer problems we see:
1) Lost data (no backup, or lost data file or program settings)
2) Windows runs too slowly - it gets "bogged down" with "junk" software
3) Software updates not installed (or conflicting software)
4) Network connections down (poor ISP, misconfigured router, bad hardware)
5) Email problems
...These problems are FAR more common than problems with viruses and spyware! The antivirus/security software vendors would have you believe that their software is the only thing you need to fix your computer. The truth is that these problems I've listed happen a lot more frequently than security problems do. Don't let them happen to YOU!
